Lot of tableteers celebrating things this week.

Marc Orchant's The Unofficial Guide to Microsoft Outlook 2007 (http://blogs.zdnet.com/Orchant/?p=394) is hitting the shelves. I remember when my as yet only book was released. Revisions that made no sense. The strongest material (which initially got the publisher's interest) was shunted to a supplement, while weaker material was kept. Yep, good times.

One Kevin C. Tofel (http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2007/04/is_microsoft_ap.html) became the newest Microsoft MVP in the Tablet PC category. I'm sure it's only coincidence that his Apple Macbook (http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2007/04/theres_nothing_.html) decided to stop working around the same time. (or perhaps the MoTR Boys (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2006/09/my-worst-fear-realized.html) aren't meant to all have the same device for very long.)

And happy birthday to Dennis Rice (http://www.gottabemobile.com/HappyBirthdayToDennisRice.aspx), who was recently spotted at CTIA by Ed Holloway (http://tinyurl.com/yqafn9). Actually, it was some dude who looks like Dennis, but pretty exciting nonetheless.

  1. Thanks for the well wishes Sumo-Kitty!

I love birthdays, it's the start of another year of techno-goodies! :)

  2. Thanks for the mention on the book pal! In my case, it wasn't the editors, it was the astonishing number of changes that Outlook went through while I was trying to document all of the new stuff in the 2007 version. I had nearly 300 screenshots to redo at the end of the process!
