I understand the strength of the free press lies in its commitment to present the plain facts, but I think a little "red-eye removal" would be fine given the red-eye was caused by the flash from the newsperson's camera. Also, there is something slightly misleading about reporting how someone is "slightly contaminated" by radiation and showing a photo of that person with glowing eyes.

  1. Also, there is something about saying "slightly contaminated." It's akin to saying, "She is slightly pregnant." You either are or you're not :) They should say, "She has low dosage levels"
