It's nice to be the department geek

The editor-in-chief of JNMT (http://tech.snmjournals.org/) rang up a new computer, so after IT set it up, I was asked to do a run-through to see that it did what we need. Not a tablet but I can't say no to trying out a powerful portable computer.
