I've helped yet another IE user see the light that is Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/), and not just anyone but the Grand Poobah of mobile computing, James Kendrick of jkOnTheRun! (http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2007/03/firefox_whereve.html)
Due to an issue with Internet Explorer, James expressed an interest in Firefox (http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2007/03/whats_in_my_gad.html), and I was right there to push him along with the promise of superior pen-navigation courtesy of my favorite FF extensions, All-in-One Gestures (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=12) and Grab & Drag (http://grabanddrag.mozdev.org/). Didn't take him long to recognize how phenomenal they are in making FF a pen-friendly browser (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2006/03/make-firefox-pen-friendly.html).
Seriously people, if you're reading this on a Tablet PC or UMPC and you haven't tried FireFox with these extensions, you're missing out on one amazing web surfing experience. Go try it out now and don't forget the GeckoTIP (http://geckotip.mozdev.org/) add-on to enable the floating TIP and IE Tab (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/) for viewing IE-only/optimized sites. You can thank me later (just like James) (http://jkontherun.blogs.com/jkontherun/2007/03/firefox_whereve.html). |
