A few weeks back, I called for the death of the live studio audience (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2006/10/death-to-live-studio-audience.html) for sitcoms. This followed my opinion of new show 30 Rock (http://www.nbc.com/30_Rock/), and I cited My Name is Earl (http://www.nbc.com/My_Name_Is_Earl/), Scrubs (http://www.nbc.com/Scrubs/), and The Office (http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/) as examples of my favorite sitcoms, all without laughtracks. Well, guess what: NBC is loading Thursday night with all four shows, and they're pushing the zero laughtrack angle! Boo-frickin'-Yah!

Oh NBC, it's not often a major television network acquiesces to my will, so I really appreciate it when it happens. Let it be known that NBC's Thursday night comedy line-up has the official Sumocat endorsement. Let this serve as a reminder that y'all should listen to Sumocat.
