HTC Shift has integrated leather?
Okay, as if my interest in the HTC Shift (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/03/htc-shift-may-yet-bring-dual-boot-maybe.html) wasn't already battered, Matt Miller (http://blogs.zdnet.com/mobile-gadgeteer/?p=953) has revealed details that makes my chance of getting one (already quite slim) as dead as the beast that supplied its case.
Not only does HTC Shift come with a leather case, but it is permanently fastened to the device. My wife has a no-leather rule (she's a devoted vegetarian, while I have a "don't eat what you won't kill" policy). An included leather case could skirt by if I don't use it, but that won't work if it's integrated.
Oh well. It was pretty much off my radar anyway, but this pushes it off the edge. Still, I like the concept, and I hope the technical aspects keep advancing.
