It may not improve my productivity, but I certainly can't complain about the extra "workspace". The 14" widescreen on my tablet is great but work and play don't mix. Hope to give you more info on the work part. As for the play, know that this movie continues the greatest scifi TV show ever made. One hint: it ain't Star Trek.

I love having a second monitor

3 Comments:

  1. I once worked a tech writing job and my boss got a second monitor. He called me in to show it off and as I ooh'd and awww'd at the productivity boost it represented, he looked at me and said, "do you want one?"

Yeah, I got one, and it was very cool...at my next job my boss (who worked with me at the previous company) got me two 21-inch CRT monstrosities...there was very little room for me left in the cubicle, but I didn't care. Much. Working with two monitors is definitely the way to go.

I stopped watching television years ago (long story), so I have no idea what series you're referring to...but I wanna know!

  2. Since there are no guesses, I'll tell you: the movie is Serenity, the follow-up to the TV series Firefly. Imagine Han Solo and a crew doing odd jobs around the galaxy, and with good stories. It's like that, but better.

  3. Hmm... that was my first quess, I just couldn't remember the name of the movie or the series! Despite the fact that it's been a decade since I've watched TV, (never even seen an episode of Survivor, Lost, etc.), my eyes aren't completely closed to what's going on in the "real" world.

I do see a lot of movies. Just saw Pan's Labrynth and it gets my seal of approval...
