Mobile Tech at the Vegan Cooking Demo
Spent the afternoon enjoying (overly so) vegan food at our friend Dale's house. She's started putting on cooking demos, so we pop over to help out (and eat). Inevitably, there's some bit of info we need to look up, and that's where I help.
Dale's TV has a VGA connection, so my tablet can plug right in and display its findings. Thanks to pen input, there's no need the keep the screen up, and navigation and text entry can be done with one hand. The VGA cable keeps it stationary, but Dale's wifi network enables me to control my tablet using the Air Mouse (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/09/incredible-iphone-app-air-mouse.html) app on my iPhone. So nice to be free to walk about and remain in command of my tablet.
