Iceland cuts off my escape route

My backup plan of moving to Iceland after the U.S. falls into chaos hit a snag when Iceland got back into the whaling business (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6074230.stm?ls). Yeah, that one strike doesn't make the cons of living in Iceland outnumber the pros, but I really like whales (though not as food). Hope they reconsider, but in the meantime, I'd better get more serious about our plans for a self-sustainable earthen dwelling.
