Sumocat: I'm getting a mobile phone!
You: You mean a new one?
Sumocat: No, I'm getting one.
You: What about your old phone? Sumocat: We're dropping it and going strictly mobile.
You: No, what about your old mobile phone?
Sumocat: Never had one before.

Getting a Mobile Phone

5 Comments:

  1. No mobile phone? So like you at least had a cell phone right? Carphone? Bag phone? Beeper?

  2. I had a pager back in the day, but that was because a friend was selling his old one which I bought to help feed his three enormous children. Since then, nothing.

Actually, I really don't call anyone except my wife and I usually email her. Family's all elsewhere (or more accurately, I am), so I talk to them on weekends. Friends are at work as much as I am. I could get by with Skype if I really wanted to but a mobile phone is more convenient.

  4. I saved the full story (thought you all should get over the initial shock first) for another post - Sumocat's Scribbles: Working Assets Wireless

  5. I vote for the XV6700 from Verizon or the Ppc6700 from Sprint. Its the best phone I've ever owned.... And I've owned a lot of them!
