Get an empty box for Christmas

Read this on Marc Orchant's blog and thought of Star Wars. Why? Because Kenner, unable to get the first Star Wars action figures on the shelves in time for Christmas, instead sold empty boxes with coupons for the figures once they were released. It was a huge success. A similar program, giving away free upgrades to Vista with purchase of holiday PCs, definitely could work.
