Macbeth: Bloody and magical
Tanya and I attended a performance of Macbeth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macbeth) at the Folger Theater (http://www.folger.edu/) in DC. This particular interpretation (http://www.folger.edu/pr_preview.cfm?prid=212&is_archived=0) was co-conceived and co-directed by Teller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teller_%28magician%29), the short & silent half of Penn & Teller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penn_and_Teller). If you're familiar with the duo, you know they're all about stage magic, comedy, and a little bit of violence. That shone through in the show.
The visuals were outstanding. The performances were strong. Overall, it was bloody and magical... except for one thing...
