Touchy weekend: HP tx2000
The other new touch-input device I handled this weekend was the HP tx2000 (http://h20331.www2.hp.com/hho/cache/572546-0-0-225-121.html) Tablet PC at Costco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costco). It was locked down as usual, so I couldn't really handle it or give the inking a try. I worked the screen a little bit, but I'm so used to the hovering cursor of an active digitizer that I felt quite clumsy with the interface. That it responds to pressure, not touch, did not help. Probably would have had a better go of it if it was not locked down with the screen immobilized. Very poor presentation for such a mobile computer.
