In case you don't read the major mobile computing blogs, here's a notice worth reading: Warner Crocker is opening his Wicked Stage (http://wickedstageact2.typepad.com/life_on_the_wicked_stage_/2006/09/the_othello_dia_3.html) to readers of his blog and/or GottaBeMobile.com (http://www.gottabemobile.com/TheOthelloDiariesGBMReadersCanSeeOthelloFree.aspx) by offering free tickets to Wayside Theatre's performance of Othello.
Warner was been diligently chronically the progress of preparation for this show on his blog, as well as sharing his Tablet PC usage on GBM. Despite George Costanzo's rule against "blurring the lines", Warner is looking forward to bringing his online audience into his real world theatre. Details at Life on the Wicked Stage (http://wickedstageact2.typepad.com/life_on_the_wicked_stage_/2006/09/the_othello_dia_3.html).
And in case there were any doubts, let me say that Warner knows how to put on a show, and that's not just my opinion. My wife and I enjoyed (greatly!) his performance of Sleuth (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2005/10/meeting-of-minds.html) and heard nothing but very positive reaction and comments among the post-show crowd, even when Warner was not within earshot. Well worth the drive (which admittedly is only an hour for me).
Hmm... I suppose now it would be hypocritical of me not to take advantage of Warner's generous offer. Okay, I'll walk the walk; check back here for details about Sumocat's next trip to Wayside's wicked stage. |
