So about that Apple iWatch idea
So about two months ago (https://twitter.com/SumocatS/statuses/447110953407348736) I had this idea for what an Apple iWatch should be (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2014/05/an-apple-iwatch.html). I drafted it up, pitched it as a guest post to GottaBeMobile, made the visuals, but then life got in the way. Then I decided to reboot this blog and realized I could break format and post the idea here. Finally got around to it, scheduled my iWatch idea for tomorrow. Then I saw this on The Verge (http://www.theverge.com/2014/5/22/5742556/is-the-kairos-smartwatch-too-good-to-be-true).

That, if you hadn't made the comparison is a much better visualization of my idea for an Apple iWatch. Granted, it's not identical. The Kairos concept (https://kairoswatches.com/) is self-winding while mine self-charges via solar and sets its own time. Regardless, transparent OLED over mechanical watch is pretty much the same, as is the envisioned functionality. Obviously they've been working on the idea for a while, and good on them for getting it done. But don't say nobody warned you Apple has the tech and patents to do the same.
