ritePen + nirCmd Round-up
Because I'd been blogging about my progress with ritePen + nirCmd (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/search?q=ritePen+%2B+nirCmd) as it was happening and kept hitting technical snags with my screencast, the material on the subject is spread out over a good month, so here's a round-up of all the relevant posts.
ritePen + nirCmd = killer tab app mash-up (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/07/ritepen-nircmd-killer-tab-app-mash-up.html)
The declaration. I had just started tooling with it, but already I recognized the potential usefulness.
ritePen + nirCmd: Cracking the XML file (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/07/ritepen-nircmd-cracking-xml-file.html)
Entering macros manually was too slow, so I uncovered the XML file that held them and edited it directly.
ritePen+ NirCmd: macros and scripts (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/07/ritepen-nircmd-macros-and-scripts.html)
After cracking the XML file, I built a spreadsheet to manage my macros and scripts to replicate keyboard commands. Then I put it all in a package for sharing (http://www.markandtanya.us/scribbles/ritePenmacros.zip).
Screencast: ritePen + nirCmd Part 1 (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/08/screencast-ritepen-nircmd-part-1.html)
Screencast: ritePen + nirCmd Part 2 (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2008/08/screencast-ritepen-nircmd-part-2.html)
The video demos. Part 1 shows off my spreadsheet management system. Part 2 shows how I use it with ink blogging.
Read in sequence the whole thing should make more sense to you folks who came in at the end, as well as anyone who might have had other things to do this past month.
