[+/-] show/hide text
Loren almost had some great news on the Ink Blogging front with the release of Windows Live Writer. It's basically a blogging tool, but Loren discovered you can paste ink into it and it will convert to an image. Only problem, as Loren learned later: it doesn't upload the ink image. Not good.

All is not lost, however. The app is still in beta, so this functionality (or lack of) may be implemented. Further, plug-ins are allowed so someone, maybe Loren, can make it work. Perhaps we could even see direct inking and text conversion. Lot of potential here. Let's hope it becomes actual.

Update! Aaron Hall informs us that Loren didn't have the upload set (although one would assume this would be on by default). He's got the proof up at his blog. Big ups to Warner at GottaBeMobile for getting the word out.

Easy Ink Blogging (if you don't publish)

  1. Note also that Rob, Matt and Loren have discovered that Blogjet does the same thing. Who knew!

  2. Very neat stuff. I'm chiming in to let people know that I'm still working on InkBlogger, and hope to release something very soon. It looks as though the app is still needed. If it doesn't work out, I'll start work on an addon for LiveWriter since they've got a great deal working already on the blog front.

  3. Looks like someone beat you to that plugin for Windows Live Writer, but we full- and part-time ink bloggers still need an app that can do text conversion (and hopefully Links in Ink). As far as I know, Carl, you're the only one working on this. By all means, please keep moving ahead and thanks for the update.
