Need to bump up my specs for BumpTop
I mentioned BumpTop (http://bumptop.com/) a couple (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2009/03/im-afraid-brian-lam-of-gizmodo-could-be.html) of times (http://sumocat.blogspot.com/2006/06/bumptop-3d-desktop-interface.html) as a great alternate interface for a touchscreen system, enabling one to toss around icons on a virtual desk-type environment. Well, the application is now openly available for download (http://bumptop.com/), but your PC needs to be pretty beefy to use it.
Yep, I knew it wouldn't run smoothly on my tablet, but I was hoping to at least give it a look-see. No such luck. It runs but way too slowly to get anything done. Oh well. Guess I'm going to need to upgrade to give it a shot. But hey, if you've got a high-end tablet, maybe you can see how it flies.
